What is a Vortex Cool Tool?
The Cool Tool is a packaged Vortex Tube that is a portable,
ready to use cold air source. It is designed to improve machining
operations and improve the life of tools and tool bits.
The Cool Tool is powered by a Vortex Tube which uses only compressed
air. The Cool Tool produces an air stream that will be 100 degrees F.
colder than the temperature of your compressed air source.
It is flexible. Using the magnetic base, the Cool Tool can be moved
from one machine to another--aim the nozzle at your work piece and go
to work.
Cool Tool will eliminate the need for mist, mess, and expensive liquid
coolants. It will improve tool life, finish, tolerances, and the
overall production.
The Cool Tool is made of stainless steel and is designed to meet the
rigors of ever day manufacturing demands.
The Vortex Cool Tool can be purchased alone with a Magnetic
Base or
the Vortex Cool Tool System which includes the Magnetic
Base, Flexhose, and Filter.

Compressed Air Supply
It is recommended that you always use a 5-Micron filter
separator to eliminate the dirt and water in the compressed air supply.
Small orifices in the Cool Tool can become clogged with the dirt, rust
and water. If this happens disassemble and clean plastic generator,
reassemble and put back into use. When the air temperature inside the
Cool Tool reaches 32 Degree F., the water will start to freeze and will
clog the orifices in the generator.
Compressed Air Supply Lines
3/8" Pipe or 1/2" Diameter compressed air hose must be used at
all times.
Use and Installation of the Cool Tool
Connect the filter to the compressed air supply line, use the
magnetic base to place the Cool Tool where you need the cold air and
direct the flexhose to the exact location of the cooling required.
